Christmas Social 2013

Between 50 and 60 people of all age groups turned out for our Christmas social organised by Jean Spensley. We had a Jacob's join, some simple party games and quizzes, Christmas music and lots of chatting and fun! Tim also found out just how quick youngsters are today when racing against them!

First, Jean set us some "simple" quizzes as we arrived. As you can see they provoked quite a bit of head-scratching and discussion!

We then moved on to rolling potatoes towards a prize of chocolates, where players were gradually eliminated until the last person left. These spuds had a devious mind of their own though.

The concentration showed as we then tried to drop pegs into a bottle, with varying degrees of success ( eh Frank ;) )

Another fiendishly difficult game was naming local "celebrities" from their baby photos! Some of us still couldn't work it out even when we had the answers given to us. I'm told that someone didn't even recognise their own photo, but can't verify if there is any truth in this.... yet!

A final game of flicking cards into a bucket brought about some surprising results too. It's all in the wrist.
